A huge snow storm hit our area on the 4th and it took us two days to return from Alberta - longer than it has taken us to get home from Kenya. There was lots of snow that stayed with us for several weeks. Then we had spring-like temps - and at the end of the month, more snow.

They Lost Everything We were among the Prime Timers who gathered at Noroton Presbyterian Church in Darien, CT to hear Pastor John Seiders and Craig Howe tell about how they and five others helped with cleanup and repairs for some folks in Texas who had lost everything when Hurricane Harvey hit that area last August.

We Help At-Risk Kids Our Kenyan friend, Rev. Evalyn Wakhusama, spent a week with us and other supporters of The Nambale Magnet School in Kenya. She is the founder and director of NMS, which opened in 2009 with just 32 students and now has 380 students.

We are Women of Hope Eighty four women, including Marilyn, attended the NPC Women’s Retreat in Ivoryton, CT. The theme for the weekend was “Hungry for Hope”, and Ruthie Seiders, a Pastor at Grace Church, in Lexington, MA, spoke about “Knowing God’s Story”, “Praying God’s Story” and “Trusting God’s Story”.

We Were Born Again Pastor John interviewed Rev. Evalyn at a Sunday evening service in NPC’s chapel. The scripture reading was John 3: 1 - 21, and their discussion was about having to be born from above with water and the spirit in order to enter the kingdom of God.

Please sing with us -

Our hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness;
We dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand:
All other ground is sinking sand.
All other ground is sinking sand.
