|This shortest month of the year went by quickly. Winter is almost over – and spring is on its way.
The trees are starting to bud - and daffodils are poking their heads up through the mulch.
Winter really arrived all on one day, on a Saturday early in the month, with about a foot of snow - enough for a man to ski on the sidewalk across from our home. We had to shovel our way out of our front door several times that day.

On a rainy Sunday, twenty friends and neighbors gathered in our home for a brunch to chase away the winter blahs. They enjoyed catching up on what’s been happening in their lives and in our town.
Seven women of St. John Church in Darien have met numerous times since last September to plan for the Women’s Retreat on March 18th. They, and nine others who have helped with previous retreats, gathered for a wonderful dinner.
One Saturday evening, many friends, including two Kenyans, joined us at the opening reception of Marilyn’s “Just Being There for HIS Children in Kenya” photo exhibit at Brendan’s 101 in Rowayton. They had fun just being there with each other in this cozy place.
Lord Jesus, help us to live boldly
and to tell others about you -
today and every day.
You have taught us that You alone
can be trusted – even when it seems
like You are nowhere to be seen.
We know that we can trust You,
today and tomorrow, because You are
kind, good, loving, wise and powerful.
Teach us not to worry, and to act
on what we do know about You
and Your goodness, and to trust You
in faith for what we don’t know.
